And it's only possible to walk until the beginning of the dunes. As the dunes are keep moving by the wind-effect, there is no map. It's kind of risky to ride among the dunes and lagoons without guide.

How to get there

There is no easy or quick way to get there. We have to use all kind of transportation channel to reach this unique #destination.

1st step is flight : the flight takes around 3,5h from São Paulo (GRU) to São Luis (SLZ).

2nd step is car or taxi : the car drive takes between 3-4h from São Luis to Barreirinhas Port (approx. 450Real one way).

3rd step is speed-boat : there are two options for the boat. One is the collective boat, which takes around 5-6 hours (70Real per person/one way). It makes several stops on different islands, where you can see the monkeys and drink coconat water to feel the tropical islands. Second option is a private boat (approx. 450Real one way). It's an amazing boat tour through Rio Preguiças, it means lazy river, which is surrounded by rainforests.

4th step is 4x4 : When you get to Atins, you need to get a 4x4 until your hotel.
